About
Welcome to Wooden Link Vineyard, where every bottle tells a story rooted in passion, family, and the rugged beauty of West Central Minnesota.
Nestled near the charming town of Barrett, MN, our vineyard has been growing high-quality grapes since 2014 and cultivating high-quality dry wines since 2023. We’re more than just another vineyard; we’re on a mission to redefine what Minnesota wines can be, one sip at a time.
It all began with an unexpected twist of fate—our land was initially purchased for hunting. But as Nate, our co-founder and self-proclaimed wine connoisseur, spent more time here, he saw an opportunity to create something beautiful and lasting. Nate and his wife Jillian, fueled by a mutual love for wine, decided to transform this rugged piece of Minnesota into Wooden Link Vineyard.
What started as a passion project has blossomed into a thriving family-run vineyard. Today, we produce some of the finest dry wines in West Central Minnesota, challenging the notion that great wines can only come from traditional wine regions.
Redefining Minnesota Wine
Check out this feature from KARE 11 about the work we’re doing at Wooden Link Vineyard. Our goal has always been to challenge expectations by crafting refined, dry wines from locally grown grapes, inspired by European traditions. Rooted in this land, we’re proud to be helping shape a new standard for Minnesota wine.
Meet Our Team
We’re a small, passionate, family-oriented team dedicated to bringing you the best of what Minnesota has to offer. Our winemaker, Kevin Wehrs, discovered his love for wine while traveling the world with his wife, Sigourney. Together, they’ve poured their heart and soul into Wooden Link Vineyard, and their commitment shows in every bottle we produce.

We believe in the power of community.
We proudly support the West Central Area School District by donating towards the construction of their greenhouse and actively engaging with students in hands-on learning. Each year, we visit classrooms to introduce high school students to the principles of viticulture, and we invite them to participate in our annual harvest, giving them practical experience in the field. This collaboration fosters real-world agricultural skills and inspires the next generation of growers.
